Killed by Death – rock song and music video by Motörhead

hqdefault

Killed by Death’ is a 1984 rock song and music video by British heavy metal band Motörhead.

Clearly an example of Lemmy’s metaphysical angst, hypnotic song Killed by Death did not chart and the promo video, which depicts the lead singer being executed and resurrected from the grave  (recalling 1972 film Psychomania) was apparently controversial. Directed by the manager of The Plasmatics, Rod Swenson, the promo video was initially banned by MTV for “excessive and senseless violence”.
