Reviews:
” …it’s far better than it might have been given how weak the script is, in due thanks to budding director Johannes Roberts, who injects a slick visual panache in a way that builds a decent sense of suspense. Still, in its starry-eyed romantic retread of golden age slasher fare, the nostalgia can only go so far, never able to surpass or outdo its many retro inspirations.” Arrow in the Head

” …it built up into something unique that feels like a fun throwback and will stand as a completely different film than the original. Which, honestly, is the best thing you can hope for when coming to a film like this.” HorrorMovies.ca

“The only highlight is a bit of blood-letting in a swimming pool (something about the sound design and cinematography nails the universal weirdness of out-of-season leisure parks). Otherwise, it’s just scream/pant/scream/pant. They prey at night. You pray it will end.” London Evening Standard

“With dread and utter despair at every turn – all overseen by a fantastic soundtrack that similarly has its roots in the ‘80s – The Strangers: Prey at Night is one of the best horrors to come along in years, and one that will stay with you for a long time afterwards.” Starburst
