‘Careful who you prank’

Scare Campaign is a 2016 Australian supernatural horror feature film written and directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres) and produced by Julie Ryan (Red Dog).

The movie stars Olivia DeJonge (The Visit, Hiding), Meegan Warner, Ian Meadows, Josh Quong Tart, Cassandra McGrath (Wolf Creek), John Brumpton (The Loved Ones), Patrick Harvey, Steve Mouzakis, Jason Geary, Sigrid Thornton.


The popular prank TV show, Scare Campaign, has been entertaining audiences for the last five years with its mix of old school scares and hidden camera fun. But as we enter a new age of online TV the producers find themselves up against a new hard-edged web series that makes their show look decidedly quaint. It’s time to up the ante, but will the team go too far this time, and are they about to prank the wrong guy?

The film was previewed at special event screenings around Australia from March 12th, 2017, beginning with a showing at Beechworth Lunatic Asylum where it was shot.

In North America, the film was released digitally on October 24, 2017, via Studio71.
