EVIL EXHUMED (2016) Reviews and overview

‘Ancient. Evil. Unearthed.’

Screen Shot 2016-05-11 at 15.12.38Evil Exhumed is a 2016 Canadian horror film directed by David DeCoteau (Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama; Ancient Evil: Scream of the Mummy; the 1313 movies).

The movie stars Eric Roberts (narration only), Aisling Goodman, James Drew Dean, Caz Odin Darko, Jayden Holman, Samuel Graeme Martin, Steve Harwood and Nicholas Simmons.

A vengeful young man who uses dark arts to send a recently unearthed mummy on a killing spree…

“Somehow DeCoteau managed to stretch five minutes of story into 75 minutes of screen time and then had the nerve to not even give the movie an actual ending […] Even giving Evil Exhumed zero stars feels too charitable. Calling it a movie at all feels too charitable. This is the filmmaking equivalent of the Nigerian Prince email scam—and I fell for it… again.” Dread Central

Evil Exhumed was not good. It had a story that could be something decent, but not enough time was taken on the scripting aspects of the movie to make it special. It was a repetitive, boring slog. The characters were unmemorable, and the deaths weren’t even shown.” HNN

Evil Exhumed is chair tossing, table-flipping, rocks kicking, tossing your dog at your best buddy, and rage-inducing bad. And as of today, this film stands as the worst film I’ve ever sat through, throughout all of my film-watching days here at TOV. Avoid this one at all cost!” The Other View
