House of the Gorgon is a 2019 American horror feature film written, produced and directed by Joshua Kennedy (The Night of Medusa; Dracula A.D. 2015). The movie stars Caroline Munro, Martine Beswicke, Veronica Carlson, Christopher Neame, and Georgina Dugdale.

The Gooey Film production was inspired by the 1964 Hammer Film, The Gorgon.

A young woman must save herself and her family when her fiancé unleashes an ancient horror…

” …far better than expected. Munro and Beswicke camp it up a storm as the Gorgon sisters, and Veronica Carlson is surprisingly touching as alcoholic Anna Banning (which made me regret that she wasn’t given meatier parts in her heyday) – Christopher Neame also pulls off a solid performance as the tortured priest, and Dugdale offers the right amount of Victorian primness as the film’s ‘final girl.'” Dark Eyes of London

“Aside from being a great tribute, the story holds up pretty well on its own. Kennedy also has a definite talent for setting up and lighting a very effective, atmospheric scene. One in particular, where the victim, taking a bath, sees her attacker upside down from her perspective and imbued with an otherworldly light, delivers an authentic shudder.” Films from Beyond the Time Barrier

” …on a limited budget, Kennedy has worked wonders, even more amazing when you consider the fact that he completed principal photography for the film within seven days.  He’s not only created a tribute and a testament to Hammer horror, he’s provided a worthy showcase for some of the studio’s talent that we’re lucky to have still with us, and most of all, given us an entertaining film worth revisiting again and again.” Viewing the Classics

The film’s had its world premiere at Monster Bash in June 2019.
