Plot:
After his daughter goes missing, a wealthy contractor hires a group of investigative journalists to probe into an abandoned town with the hope of uncovering clues about her disappearance. While digging into the town’s jaded history, the group uncover a sinister secret and comes face to face with the town’s dark past in the form of a figure known as Angel…
Reviews:
“While Angel has quite a bit going for it as an indie feature, I found the acting to be inconsistent at times. Actors would overact in some situations while not quite pulling off dramatic responses at other times. Aside from a few standout moments, it didn’t take too much away from the film.” Horror Geek Life
“The deaths we get are standard slasher kills with solid special effects but they are easily forgettable. None really stand out but they are fun for the film itself […] It doesn’t take itself too seriously and delivers a great slasher experience. The focus of the film wasn’t to reinvent the sub-genre but to offer up a fun slasher and it succeeds.” Horror Society
“With an atmosphere that feels to call back to iconic horror films, the likes of The Hills Have Eyes, The Strangers and even certain aspects of Silent Hill, Tory Jones gives us a fun and inspiring experience with wonderful aesthetics. There were elements, mainly regarding story and structure, which I felt could have been handled differently, but in total, Tory and team have done a wonderful job!” My Indie Productions
“The film is built on a foundation of great locations and excellent camera work, which compliments emotional performances from a talented cast and a nerve-wracking score, all adding up to something creepy, somber and unique. Angel is a damn fine indie horror film. Highly recommended.” Pop Horror
Angel had its world premiere on July 21, 2018, at the Historic Lyric Theatre in Lexington Kentucky.
