Batman: Hush is a 2019 animated feature film that focuses on a shadowy new villain who uses Gotham’s Rogues Gallery to destroy the caped crusader’s crime-fighting career.

The movie was directed by Justin Copeland (storyboard artist for Batman vs. Two-Face; Batman and Harley Quinn; Batman: The Killing Joke; et al) from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker, based on the comic book by Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb.

The Warner Bros. Animation and DC production features a voice cast that includes Jason O’Mara as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jennifer Morrison as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Bruce Thomas as Jim Gordon, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne, James Garrett as Alfred Pennyworth, Maury Sterling as Thomas Elliot, Geoffrey Arend as Riddler, Vanessa Williams as Amanda Waller, Jason Spisak as Joker, Adam Gifford as Bane, Dachie Alessio as Lady Shiva, Peyton List as both Batgirl and Poison Ivy and Tara Strong as a Reporter.

The world premiere of Batman: Hush will be on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Comic-Con International in San Diego. It was released on Digital starting July 20, 2019, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack & Blu-ray Combo Pack on August 6, 2019.

“Condensing a sprawling story arc into an 80-minute film is no mean feat. But smarter creative choices, especially with regards to story, would have truly elevated the material in a big way. Featuring top-notch animation and action sequences Batman: Hush is a worthy addition to any avid Batman fan’s film collection.” Flickering Myth

“Often it feels that this exists just to bring out a line-up of super-villain cameos and have them all improbably being manipulated by Hush. You suspect that this would have worked more substantially on the comic-book page spread out over twelve issues where each would have been given more time rather than the story arc being condensed to an 81-minute film.” Richard Scheib, Moria
