‘He returns… and this time no one is safe’
The Curse of Halloween Jack is a 2019 British supernatural horror feature film in which cult The Lords of Samhain resurrect serial killer Halloween Jack.
Written, co-produced and directed by Andrew Jones (Jurassic Predator; Robert the Doll and sequels; Werewolves of the Third Reich; Cabin 28; et al), the Northbank Entertainment production stars Derek Nelson, Tiffany Ceri, Peter Cosgrove and David Lenik.
The film is a sequel to Jones’ The Legend of Halloween Jack (2018).
Plot:
After a brutal massacre of the townsfolk by legendary killer Halloween Jack on October 31st, the new mayor of Dunwich has banned all future Halloween celebrations.
However, two years after the murders a group of rebellious youngsters decide to defy the powers-that-be and organise their own private Halloween party.
Little do the youngsters know that in a woodland nearby a cult known as The Lords of Samhain are making a blood sacrifice to resurrect the long-dead Halloween Jack. When the infamous killer returns to life, the cult and the partying teens get a whole lot more than they bargained for…
Reviews:
“Jones actually manages some excitement in this movie, as well as some intentional laughs […] For most armchair critics the response to The Curse of Halloween Jack will still revolve around not being able to get back 75 minutes of their life, but this has slightly restored my faith in this previously fairly maligned director.” Dark Eyes of London
” …far superior to the first movie. Everything moves at a more sprightly pace, while the various facets of the narrative overlap with cohesion and purpose. The defiant kids are the undoubted highlight, and the party sequence in particular manages to blend tension and witty dialogue (some of the writers’ best) to great effect.” The Schlock Pit
