THE HEAD (2019) Reviews and overview

‘He asked for love. She asked for blood.’

The Head is a 2019 American romantic comedy horror film about punk rock, masculinity, and making sweet, sweet love to a mannequin head. It was shot entirely on a consumer-grade VHS camcorder.

Directed and co-produced by Michael Keene (Fatal Future) from a screenplay co-written with co-producers Casey Keene and Matthew Walker [as Matt Walker], the Manatee Party production stars Cheryl Prater, Mindy Gilkerson, Drew Marvick (Killer Popcorn; Ghoul; director of Pool Party Massacre) and Michael Keene.

Reviews:

“The creators didn’t take this movie seriously, and you shouldn’t either. You’re going to need a lot of drugs […] This glorious, interminable mindfuck is so packed with details, surprises, and douche bags, that you’ll need to check your heart rate when it’s over.” Tales of Terror
