CATCH THE BULLET (2021) Review and overview

‘The sun never sets on vengeance’

Catch the Bullet is a 2021 American Western action film about a U.S. Marshal who discovers his son has been kidnapped by outlaws.

Directed by Michael Feifer (Last Shoot Out; Shooting Star; The Desperate Riders; The Siege at Rykers Station; Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield) from a screenplay written by Jerry Robbins.

Britt MacMasters (Jay Pickett), a U.S. Marshal, returns from a mission to find his father (Tom Skerritt) wounded and his son, Chad, kidnapped by the outlaw Jed Blake.

Hot on their trail, Britt forms a posse with a gunslinging deputy and a stoic Pawnee tracker. But both Jed and Britt tread dangerously close to the Red Desert’s Sioux territory, which poses a menace far greater than either can imagine…

Catch the Bullet’s plot is just as familiar as the characters in it and it plays out just as predictably. There are no surprises or a sense of danger and you can frequently tell not only what’s going to happen next, but what will happen after that […] It’s not that Catch the Bullet is bad, it isn’t. It’s just extremely predictable and directed without any flair or hint of interest in what’s happening.” Voices from the Balcony

Catch the Bullet was released On-Digital on September 10, 2021, and DVD on September 14, 2021.
