‘The sun never sets on vengeance’
Catch the Bullet is a 2021 American Western action film about a U.S. Marshal who discovers his son has been kidnapped by outlaws.
Directed by Michael Feifer (Desperate Riders; Last Shoot Out; Shooting Star; The Siege at Rykers Station; Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield) from a screenplay written by Jerry Robbins.
Plot:
Britt MacMasters (Jay Pickett), a U.S. Marshal, returns from a mission to find his father (Tom Skerritt) wounded and his son, Chad, kidnapped by the outlaw Jed Blake.
Hot on their trail, Britt forms a posse with a gunslinging deputy and a stoic Pawnee tracker. But both Jed and Britt tread dangerously close to the Red Desert’s Sioux territory, which poses a menace far greater than either can imagine…
Reviews:
“Catch the Bullet’s plot is just as familiar as the characters in it and it plays out just as predictably. There are no surprises or a sense of danger and you can frequently tell not only what’s going to happen next, but what will happen after that […] It’s not that Catch the Bullet is bad, it isn’t. It’s just extremely predictable and directed without any flair or hint of interest in what’s happening.” Voices from the Balcony
