Reviews:

” …bizarre theories and the ghost effects (which were not frightening at all) take the film on a dull and predictable ride. There is also a severe lack in the concept of logic, which is quite common in Bollywood level horror plots. The lead has given an exaggerated, average performance in this unstructured storyline and the parents, especially the father, tend to stick with monotonic sad looks in most parts of the film.” Infodea

“Horror and hilarity go hand in glove in this excruciating watch that could also leave you in splits […] In the lead, Sharma couldn’t have hammed it up any more than she does and single-handedly sinks this one […] her ability to internalise the spirit that has penetrated her character renders zero chills. Vikal, perhaps the only casting choice with some acting chops, completes his policeman-cum-paranormal pandit with an eclectic mix of deliriously stunned eyebrow raises.” Mumbai Mirror

“The director tries to fit in various human emotions in one half-baked story — of child neglect, sibling rivalry, revenge and what not — but its execution is plain shoddy, which the Indian horror movies are anyway notorious for. Sure, there was an attempt to do something ‘hatke’ with Cookie but the diegesis is an amalgamation of all other movies in this genre; predictable till the credits roll.” Times of India
