Girl at the Window is a 2022 Australian thriller film about a troubled teenager struggling to cope with the accidental death of her father. Furthermore, she suspects that the mysterious serial killer terrorising her hometown is not only her neighbour but her mother’s new love interest.

Directed by Mark Hartley (Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films; Patrick: Evil Awakens; Machete Maidens Unleashed!; Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation!) from a screenplay co-written by Terence Hammond and Nicolette Minster.

Produced by Antony I. Ginnane (Dark Age; Turkey Shoot; Patrick). Executive produced by Phil Hunt, Compton Ross and Sabella Sugar.

The F.G. Film Productions movie stars Radha Mitchell (Dreamkatcher; Silent Hill; The Crazies; Pitch Black), Sharon Johal, James Mackay, Ella Newton, Jackson Gallagher, Vince Colosimo, Nathan Hill, Lauren Goetz and Lach Millar.

Girl at the Window is not the greatest Australian horror film, but Hartley and his cast keep plugging away and ultimately make something of it. It is certainly superior to the Wolf Creek films, even though it sometimes exhibits visual echoes of the notoriously grisly Aussie franchise buried deep within it. Watchable enough to not disappoint Hartley’s fans…” J.B. Spins

“Mark Hartley’s direction has improved none since Patrick. I think he makes highly entertaining documentaries but as a dramatic director, he is the equivalent of someone who writes in all caps. Every dramatic point is hammered home with thunderous urgency on the soundtrack. Hartley throws in red herrings, dramatically hyped suspense sequences and dream jumps all to zero effect whatsoever.” ★ Moria
