‘No one knows when to quit’
Human Resources is a 2021 American mystery horror film about a young man’s growing unease in his new job at a creepy hardware store.

Directed and co-produced by Braden Swope from a screenplay co-written with co-producer Evan Sope plus additional input from Chris Kelly. Also produced by Kendall Huff.

The movie stars Hugh McCrae Jr, Anthony Candell, Sarah Jose, Tim Misuradze, Michael Kammerer and Angel Hilton.

Plot synopsis:
After starting a job at an eerie hardware store, Sam Coleman (Hugh McCrae Jr.), an anxious young man, uncovers a shocking mystery involving a missing employee. With the help of Sarah (Sarah José), a cynical coworker, Sam plunges into the dark corners of the store and is forced to confront the terrifying forces that lurk just behind the walls…

Human Resources could have been trimmed down a bit, and the pacing at times feels too slow. That said, Sam is a character most viewers will relate to. While the scares are light, Human Resources is a solid first feature that showcases a young director’s potential.” 6.5 out of 10, Horror Buzz

Human Resources has a thick air of paranoia and dread throughout, with a darkly humorous air of loopiness, and its climax boasts a very inventive way of portraying a big, bloody showdown on a low budget […] Braden Swope builds the intrigue and chills wonderfully, and he is aided by a strong cast giving fine performances.” Horror Fuel

“A remarkably nuanced slice of horror at work, from a 19-year-old writer/director that poses the question as to how far would you be willing to go to unearth and expose the dirty secrets at your place of employment. The movie is probably twenty minutes too long, but the plot has a solid backbone to tell a good story.” 3.5 out of 5, The Scariest Things

Human Resources will be released On-Demand (VOD) on January 10, 2023.
