Reviews:
” ..this is a movie long on both style and substance. Everything seems filled with dread from the very open, as we see the studio and everything in it covered in blood […] I liked that the kills stay off-screen and that Morris made something pretty stylish for the budget and two weeks or less of shooting time. It’s definitely different than your typical by-the-numbers slasher.” B&S About Movies

“The use of noir-like flashbacks keeps upping the terror ante with each revelation. We’ve seen this kind of cross-genre pollination from Australian horror movies before, including the excellent Christmas slasher Better Watch Out. What Morris and Hinschen essentially do with their suspense slasher mash-up is enrich the masked murderer story with a dimension and impact previously unseen.” 8 out of 10, Film Threat

” …the gory kills themselves are kept largely off-screen. This is no doubt due in part to considerations of budget, which is plainly low – but these elisions have the additional effect of generating uncertainty and ambiguity. For it is unclear whether we, faced with these narrative lacunae, are witnessing a real massacre perpetrated by a deranged heavy-breathing murderer (Corrie Hinschen) possibly back from the dead, or a return of the repressed unfolding, maybe entirely, in a damaged brain. ” Projected Figures
