Sleeping Dogs is 2024 American mystery crime thriller film about a retired detective who has to reopen an old murder case.
Adam Cooper directed the movie – making his feature directorial debut – from a screenplay co-written with Bill Collage. It is based on the E.O. Chirovici novel The Book of Mirrors (2017).
The Australian-American co-production stars Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, Marton Csokas, Tommy Flanagan, Harry Greenwood, Thomas M. Wright, Elizabeth Blackmore, Lynn Gilmartin, Pacharo Mzembe and Paula Arundell.
While undergoing treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, retired homicide detective Roy Freeman (Russell Crowe) is forced to re-open an old case involving the brutal murder of a college professor after new information comes from a mysterious woman…

Release:
Sleeping Dogs will be released by The Avenue in the United States on March 22, 2024. The movie will be released in Australia by Galaxy Pictures (a joint venture between Rialto Distribution and Vertigo Releasing) on a date to be announced.
