Piranhaconda is a 2012 American sci-fi horror film about hybrid creatures hunting down a scientist who stole their egg, as well as a film crew making a slasher film in the jungle.
The movie was directed by Jim Wynorski from a screenplay by Mike MacLean based on a concept by
J. Brad Wilke. It was produced by Forest King and executive produced by Roger Corman.
The New Horizons production stars Michael Madsen, Rib Hillis, Rachel Hunter and Terri Ivens.
Plot:
A hybrid creature – half piranha, half anaconda attacks a movie crew on location near her nest when her egg was stolen. They must outrun and kill the deadly piranhaconda as well as stop the mad scientist who stole the egg before they all become dinner.
In the end, only Jack and Rose are left alive, after killing the piranhacondas with explosives, but they are attacked by a third piranhaconda and killed.

Our review:
Piranhaconda doesn’t try to be anything that it isn’t, but that’s part of the problem. When a bad film doesn’t realise its shortcomings, there’s a certain naïve charm there, but this is a bad film that uses its limitations as an excuse for laziness.
Thus we have a sloppy plot, piss-poor characters, some dreadful acting and terrible CGI that are made worse because more or less everyone involved seems to be showing their contempt for the viewer. And unlike, say, Sharktopus, this isn’t even funny.
