The Hermit is a forthcoming horror film about two teenagers who encounter a seemingly unstoppable crazed cannibal pig farmer played by Lou Ferrigno (Mummy Dearest), best known for playing The Incredible Hulk in the ’70s TV series of the same name.
The movie is directed and co-produced by Salvatore Sclafani (Dutch III: International Gangster; Dutch II: Angel’s Revenge) from a screenplay by William Walkerley. Co-produced by Gerry Pass and Charlie Phoenix. Executive produced by Michael Guillory.
The Chrome Entertainment-First Child co-production also stars Malina Pauli Weissman (A Series of Unfortunate Events), Anthony Turpel (Bloody Bridget), Carlease Burke, James Quattrochi, Isabelle McCalla, Marilyn Busch, Christopher Collins, Bruce Faulk and Brian Robert Carr.
Plot:
Dragged on a vacation to the woods, two self-absorbed teens venture off trail, stumble across a farm, go in, see animal heads hanging from the wall and fight for their lives against a seemingly unstoppable cannibalistic pig farmer…
Production and release:
The Hermit is currently in post-production and Scatena & Rosner Films has acquired worldwide rights to the horror movie. “We are very excited to have this film and its team in the S&R family,” Scatena & Rosner’s Jordan Rosner said in a statement. “On a personal note, I’ve been a fan of Lou’s since childhood, and seeing him bring such a compelling performance to the horror genre is very exciting.”
