Reviews:
“Overall, Night Explorers: The Asylum is a solid, fun watch not to be taken too seriously […] For production value, acting, and an engaging pace that will keep you following along, Cryptic Rock gives Night Explorers: The Asylum 2.5 out of 5″ Cryptic Rock
“The filmmaker sets up a familiar but enjoyable ghost-hunting scenario in an extraordinary setting. Then, he pulls the rug out from under the audience with a wild twist. This makes the second half more unpredictable and raises the stakes […] The movie loses some steam in the final stretch…” 6/10 Film Threat
“Night Explorers: The Asylum treats viewers with a serious case of whiplash after spending a first act establishing one type of movie and then pivoting into totally different waters – a move some may appreciate for the shock and misdirection while others may be totally turned off by not getting what they expected, and the lack of originality and paper-thin characters may turn both groups off.” The Good, the Bad and the Verdict
” …uses its location very well, the film is well shot and has a couple of scares that work well and without giving it away, there is a good homage towards the Amicus anthology film Tales from the Crypt. There are a couple of flaws and I do think parts of the final act go on a little too long, but they are offset by an ambiguous ending that I liked.” ★★★ The Grump of Horror
” …I enjoyed Night Explorers despite some of its flaws. It has a glorious mean streak running right through it, and it is during these moments that the film is at its best. Grim and unrelenting at times, Night Explorers: The Asylum is a fun ride that takes a little time to get going.” ★★★½ Morbidly Beautiful
