
Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead is a 1971 Italian Western film steeped in suspense, double-crossing and revenge. After Dan Hogan (Klaus Kinski) and his gang rob a bank, they hire a mysterious man to guide them across the Mexican border in return for half of the loot.
Directed by Giuseppe Vari from a screenplay by Adriano Bolzoni. The Castor Film production stars Klaus Kinski, Victoria Zinny, Paolo Casella, Dino Strano [Dean Stratford], Antonio La Raina [as Anthony Rock], Dante Maggio [as Dan May], Fortunato Arena [as Ares Lucky], Anna Zinnemann and Adriana Giuffrè.

Quentin Tarantino cites Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead as the 16th best Spaghetti Western from over 600 movies.
