Waspzilla is a 2024 sci-fi horror monster movie about a seasoned cop and a rookie facing off against a giant insect. The film largely consists of a series of encounters between the giant wasp and various victims, mixed with comedic campy elements.

Notable for its extremely low budget estimated at about $3,000, reviews describe it as intentionally cheesy and campy, with very primitive CGI effects that have become part of the film’s appeal for fans of so-bad-it’s-good cinema. Fans of films such as Birdemic, classic giant-insect movies, and ultra-low-budget independent monster films may find Waspzilla entertaining as a tongue-in-cheek creature feature. Plot:
A chemical accident mutates an ordinary wasp into a giant, bloodthirsty creature. As the enormous insect begins attacking townspeople, livestock, and anyone unlucky enough to cross its path, panic spreads through the community. Deputy Callahan and her inexperienced partner are tasked with confronting the threat.

As the body count rises, the deputies must find a way to destroy the creature and save the town from its rampage…
