‘Witness the first of her kind’
Feed is a 2026 horror film about influencers who awaken the legendary Dearg-Due, a female vampire rooted in Celtic mythology. Rather than relying solely on traditional vampire tropes, the plot apparently explores themes of grief, temptation, manipulation, and the addictive pursuit of social media online influence.
The movie was written and directed by Marco van Belle.
The co-production stars Grace Collender, Clinton Liberty, Charlotte Bradley, Molly McCann, Daisy Jelley, Rhys Mannion, and Niamh Hogan.
Plot:
Still grieving the tragic loss of her family, Orla Ryan reluctantly joins several social media influencers on what is intended to be a restorative weekend at an isolated forest estate. The group’s glamorous getaway is built around creating online content, but beneath the property’s peaceful exterior lies an ancient evil that has remained dormant for centuries.
When Orla accidentally sheds blood on sacred ground, she unknowingly resurrects the Dearg-Due, an ancient Irish vampire whose supernatural abilities extend far beyond simple bloodlust. Rather than immediately slaughtering her victims, the creature manipulates minds, preys upon emotional vulnerability, and gradually infects members of the group, turning friends against one another.
As paranoia and violence spread through the isolated retreat, Orla discovers that the vampire has taken a particular interest in her grief. The Dearg-Due offers an irresistible bargain: surrender herself to become the creature’s next host and be reunited with her deceased family, or destroy the vampire forever and accept that her loved ones are gone forever.
With her surviving friends falling under the vampire’s influence and the body count rising, Orla must confront both the supernatural horror before her and the emotional wounds she has been unable to heal. Her final decision will determine not only who survives the night, but whether she embraces the seductive promise of eternal darkness or chooses to let go of the past…
What to expect:
Atmospheric Irish folk-horror infused with vampire mythology.
A modern satire of influencer culture and social media obsession.
Psychological horror mixed with supernatural action.
Themes of grief, loss, manipulation, and the temptation to escape reality.
A fresh interpretation of vampire lore centered on the Dearg-Due, one of Ireland’s oldest legendary vampires rather than the more familiar Dracula-inspired mythology.
