Autopsy: Dead Body Can Talk is a 2026 Indonesian crime horror mystery about a forensic pathologist who receives clues from murder victims.
The movie was directed by Ozan Ruz from a screenplay by M. Nurman Wardi, allegedly based on the real-life career and experiences of Doctor Sumy Hastry Purwanti, a prominent forensic pathology expert in the Indonesian National Police.
The production stars Masayu Anastasia, Samuel Rizal, Teuku Rifnu Wikana, Ge Pamungkas, Riyuka Bunga and Indra Frimawan.
Plot:
Doctor Sumy Hastry, a forensic doctor known for her dedication and composure, begins experiencing unexplained visions and messages from the dead after handling the brutal mutilation of an unidentified woman. As her unusual ability grows, she starts uncovering clues that cannot be explained by forensic evidence alone.
With the help of her assistant Yatna and documentary filmmaker Mojo, Hastry investigates a series of disturbing deaths while facing skepticism from investigator Rendra, who believes only in tangible evidence.
As the cases begin to affect her career, family, and mental state, the death of a young girl named Dara leads Hastry to a horrifying secret within the victim’s own home. Her investigation eventually brings her to the exhumation of the “bloodied car” case, where the remains of a mother and child reveal clues that force her to confront the supernatural ability she has long resisted….
