‘Death is the new attraction’
Scream Park is a 2012 American horror slasher film written and directed by Cary Hill. It stars Doug Bradley, Nicole Beattie and Kailey Marie Harris.
The Fright Land amusement park is on the verge of closing its doors forever. But the park’s owner, Hyde (Doug Bradley), has one last plan to sell more tickets… murder.
Hiring two backwoods maniacs to break into the park and hack and slash all his employees, Hyde thinks these killings will create a media sensation, but he has just unleashed a horror that no one can survive.
“Scream Park is worth a watch if you are into 80s slasher films. It has an authentic look and feel to it, and stars a creepy old amusement park to boot. You also get a horror movie great, an influential musician, and gore. What more could you ask for?” Scaretissue
“If you can bear with the fact that the whole movie is a Frankenstein monster of 80’s horror clichés that are lovingly stitched together then you are in for a treat. Just sit back relax and enjoy this fun house of horrors; Scream Park will not disappoint if you’re looking for some cheap thrills despite its lack of depth and breaking of new ground.” Richard Martin, UK Horror Scene
“If you’re a huge old school slasher fan there is definitely something here for you to sink your teeth into. You have to wait a while for the gore and the cool kill sequences to come around, but when they do, you won’t be disappointed. Nothing new or overly original is on offer with this one, so just take the film for exactly what it is, 80 minutes of entertainment.” Adam the Movie God
“Once the bloodbath begins everything remains incredibly predictable but nonetheless entertaining. The small twist at the end I had suspicions about throughout the film but was never wholly sold on the idea so kudos for not giving it away entirely.” Robert Beksinski, Letterboxd.com
