Reviews:

” …98% of this movie contains no story at all. When the “plot” finally appears at the end, it is not only unsatisfying, it makes no sense in the least. This is yet another Blair Witch rip-off which thinks that it can dump a story into our laps in the last scene. But, it takes actually talent and subtlety to do this and The Levenger Tapes does not possess this.” DVD Sleuth

” … it deviates from the typical formula is by using the police as an audience for the film and juxtaposes what happened that night against the police trying to figure out what happened. This is different than your typical title card explaining or dating the footage ala Cloverfield or Paranormal Activity. While that worked well in those films, the deviation was refreshing.” Man, I Love Films

” …The Levenger Tapes blends traditional filmmaking with the overused found footage style but beyond that, I never found this very compelling though the acting from a mostly unknown cast to be half decent (at times).” Movieman’s Guide to the Movies

“Sure, the unseen and unexplained can be scary as hell, but The Levenger Tapes abuses the notion. It’s the sort of movie where the characters insist something is out there, yet the filmmakers only provide faint hints of odd noises and brief glimpses to string the audience along to an underwhelming conclusion that doesn’t show much more.” Oh, the Horror!

“The primary villain, or monster, of the movie is a bit too generic and undefined to leave a lasting impression, though there are a couple scary moments in the film. Unfortunately, the ending will leave you a bit disappointed as well. The Levenger Tapes is a decent horror flick, but ultimately one that does not live up to its potential.” Quick Horror Movie Reviews
