ICE CREAM MAN Eli Roth’s homicidal kids splatfest treat – red band trailer

‘We all scream’
Ice Cream Man is a 2026 horror film about a town that descends into chaos and violence when children turn on the adults. The premise has been described as a twisted blend of small-town horror, dark satire, and extreme gore, with critics comparing its “children gone berserk” concept to a nightmarish version of The Birds.

The movie was directed and co-written by Eli Roth (Hostel; Cabin Fever). Roth has described it as one of the most extreme and outrageous projects of his career.

Despite sharing the same title as the cult 1995 horror-comedy Ice Cream Man starring Clint Howard, Eli Roth’s film is not a remake or reimagining. It is an entirely new story with a different premise and characters.

The movie stars Ari Millen, Charlie Zeltzer, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Sarah Abbott, and Benjamin Byron Davis.

Plot:
The story takes place in the seemingly peaceful suburban town of Bayleen Bay. During a hot summer, a mysterious ice cream vendor begins serving children strange frozen treats. Soon afterward, the town descends into chaos as the children become violently homicidal and begin attacking adults. As panic spreads, residents struggle to uncover the truth behind the Ice Cream Man and the horrifying influence he has over the town’s youth…

Release date:
Ice Cream Man is scheduled for a US theatrical release on August 7, 2026.

United States of America
