In a Violent Nature 2 is a 2026 Canadian slasher film that expand the mythology of the undead killer Johnny while preserving the slow-burn, observational style that made the first film distinctive. Fans of atmospheric slashers, practical gore effects, and the unconventional perspective of the original are likely to find In a Violent Nature 2 a continuation rather than a reinvention of the formula.
The original In a Violent Nature gained attention for presenting a slasher story largely from the killer’s perspective, with long, atmospheric tracking shots and minimal music. The sequel appears to retain that backwoods slasher aesthetic while moving the action to a summer-camp setting reminiscent of classic 1980s slashers such as Friday the 13th.
The screenplay was written by Chris Nash, creator of the original film, while directing duties were handed to Nathaniel Wilson.
The movie stars Ry Barrett, Lucas Nguyen, Olivia Scriven, Laurie Babin, Fionn Laird, Donald MacLean Jr and Evan Marsh.

Plot:
Following the carnage of the first film, Johnny’s violent journey takes him to a remote summer camp. There he crosses paths with a young, socially isolated camper who is forced to spend the night with his camp-counsellor sister and her friends during an end-of-season gathering. What begins as an awkward overnight stay quickly turns into a nightmare as Johnny unleashes a new wave of brutal killings across the campgrounds…
