“The soundstagey look and TV-like lighting here are well suited to the movie’s wink-wink tone. Ruhm’s lively pace keeps the plot’s essential silliness from growing tiresome, even if it never kicks into the high-octane farce the picture seems to seek.” John DeFore, The Hollywood Reporter
” … takes relentless jabs at vampire lore and, most piercing of all, relationships and the vicissitudes of marriage. It does so in an invigorating way with heaps of wit to spare. But don’t worry, it’s not all top hats and snappy quips. There is enough blood splashed around to paint the walls.” Patrick Cooper, Bloody Disgusting
“David Rühm strikes a few satirical laughs coupled with silly visual effects, but levitation and obsessive-compulsive bloodsuckers eventually grow tiresome without non-stop foolishness. It’s cute and kitschy, but Rühm’s softcore take on vampire mockery pulls its punches and weaves a familiar, weightless connection between jilted-ish lovers.” Matt Donato, We Got This Covered
