Shadowzone is a 1989 (released 1990) American science fiction horror film written and directed by J. S. Cardone (Wicked Little Things; The Forsaken; The Slayer). Produced by Charles Band (executive producer) and Carol Kottenbrook.
The Full Moon Productions movie stars Louise Fletcher (Invaders from Mars; Strange Behavior; Exorcist II: The Heretic), David Beecroft (Octopus; The Rain Killer; Creepshow 2; James Hong – R. I. P. D.; The Jitters; The Vineyard), Frederick Flynn (8MM 2; The Forsaken; Shadowhunter), Shawn Weatherly ( Amityville: It’s About Time) and Miguel A. Núñez, Jr. ( Dolls of Voodoo; Scooby-Doo; Leprechaun 4: In Space).
The soundtrack score was composed by Richard Band (Re-Animator).
Plot:
During a secret subterranean scientific experiment, the effects of artificially created excessive daytime sleepiness are being studied. After one of the subjects dies in a mysterious way during the trial, a captain from NASA (David Beecroft) is sent to the laboratory to investigate the case.
It turns out that the portal to a parallel universe has been discovered. Through the dimension comes an alien invader that disturbs the experiment, taking the shape of each person’s most morbid fear…
