“Reid Doyle and Cari Moskow seem to struggle with the hammy dialogue and moments that should have emotional weight, don’t. […] It manages to build a little tension but with the haphazard plot, this often goes nowhere. The ‘creepy kids’ trope has been done and while the masks they wear do make them more sinister it’s still not going to live long in the memory.” GBHBL.com
“It’s so clumsily paced that someone actually says, “There’s something off about this house” an hour into the running time. It also overdoses on outrageously over-stated fake scares. The sincere efforts to deal with the subject of child death results in constant hilarity thanks to the cringe-inducing performances…” Horrorscreams Videovault
“Some of the supernatural activity in this film may remind you of similar events from The Changeling (1980) and The Shining (1980). There are quite a few creepy moments that build in intensity over the course of the film. The last half hour is the most powerful.” Indie Horror Online
“Sadly by the time The Terrible Two gets to the truth of the Poe’s situation and all is revealed, when – as you probably guessed – they realise they were sold a bad bill of goods in their house (yes, the strange behaviour of the real estate agent wasn’t just bad acting), and are in fact living in a house filled with Satanic power, you won’t really care.” Nerdly
“There are the seeds of a story in the script that could have been a grim and effective thriller. It could even have been the film it’s publicity hyped it up to be. Instead, it feels long even at only 84 minutes. The Terrible Two is just plain terrible.” Voices from the Balcony
