THE NIGHTMARE GALLERY (2018) Reviews and overview

‘When you search for the truth, the greatest horror is finding it’

The Nightmare Gallery is a 2018 American supernatural horror film directed by Gene Blalock (Horror Haiku TV series) from a screenplay written by Jhan Harp and Rob Stith. The Seraph Films production stars Amber Benson, Kevin Chamberlin and Mat Devine.

Plot:

The life of Doctor Samantha Rand, an anthropology professor, is turned upside-down by the sudden, suspicious disappearance of her star pupil.

Three years later, when a package of supposedly paranormal artefacts arrives on Rand’s doorstep, Samantha unwittingly embarks on a nightmarish journey into mystery that will shake her and her wife to their very cores…

Reviews:

“More average than appalling […] Yelling constitutes impassioned acting as far as the director seems concerned, although angry emotions come across more convincingly than when anyone turns on tears for a blubbering breakdown. Horrible monster makeups, mercifully seen sparingly, seem sculpted from unpainted Silly Putty.” Culture Crypt
