Black Magic aka Santet and The Origin of Santet – is a 2018 Indonesian supernatural horror film co-produced and directed by Helfi C.H. Kardit (Horror in Facebook; The Empty Chair) from a screenplay co-written with Maruska Bath and Sarjono Sutrisno.

The Skylar Pictures production stars Kelly Brook (Piranha 3D; Survival Island; Ripper), Jazz Ocampo, Ayu Dyah Pasha and Ray Sahetapy.

Plot:
After his father commits suicide, Rendy and his family travel to his Indonesian home, to look after his mother. Unbeknownst to him, his mother’s health is failing, and they find her mysteriously unable to speak, lying in bed in a silent trance.

When Rendy’s mother attacks his wife Laura (Kelly Brook) and children unexpectedly, he starts to realise the truth: evil is seeping through his home and family, and his mother is haunted by terrifying dark magic. Determined to entrench fear into the hearts of the living, the demons embark on a horrific rampage of attacks. Inflicting terror upon all who face it, will the family survive the black magic and escape alive?

Black Magic is being distributed by 4Digital Media in the UK and USA, with The Annex Entertainment handling the rest of the world. It was released in Cathay Cineplexes in Indonesia on 4 October 2018.
