Pemandi Jenazah is a 2024 Indonesian horror film about a mortician who discovers something odd about her recently deceased mother’s body. Trapped in sacred tension and a tense horror journey, mortician Lela discovers another oddity in the body of the corpse she was preparing. The title translates as “Corpse Bath”.
Directed by Hadrah Daeng Ratu (Sijjin; Perjanjian Gaib; I Know When You Dead; Makmum; #Malam Jumat: The Movie; Jaga Pocong) from a screenplay written by Lele Laila (Siska Neraka; Sijjin; Ivanna; Asih 2; KKN Di Desa Penari; Danur 3: Sunyaruri; Asih; Danur 2: Maddah; Danur: I Can See Ghosts).
The Visual Media Studio (VMS) production stars Aghniny Haque, Djenar Maesa Ayu, Ibrahim Risyad, Amara Sophie, Riafinola Ifani Sari, Ruth Marini, Mian Tiara, Vonny Anggraini, Aji Santosa, Nelly Sukma, Deni Saputra and Muhammad Nur Qomaruddin.
