Krasue: Inhuman Kiss aka Inhuman Kiss is a 2019 Thai supernatural horror feature film directed by Sitisiri Mongkolsiri (Hunger: Last Summer) from a screenplay co-written with Chookiat Sakveerakul. The movie stars Phantira Pipityakorn, Oabnithi Wiwattanawarang, Sapol Assawamunkong and Surasak Wongthai.

Plot:
In a far-away village, an innocent young woman named Sai (Phantira Pipityakorn) discovers she has inherited the curse of “Krasue”. At night, her head detaches from her body and hunts for flesh and blood!

Villagers are terrified by the deaths of their livestock. Noi (Oabnithi Wiwattanawarang), a childhood friend who has just returned to the village decides to stand beside Sai despite knowing the horrifying truth…

Reviews:
” …despite some flaws, the film is enjoyable. It definitely exceeded my expectations. This krasue drama is packed with fantasy, romance and a little bit of horror that doesn’t shy away from blood and guts. The computer graphics aren’t bad either. The three young leads hold their own pretty well…” Bangkok Post

” …a high quality story of ghosts among humans, finding a new approach to a time-honoured horror story. Think of it, perhaps, as Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands meeting James Cameron’s Titanic.” Far East Film Festival

” …stunningly shot and set in a rural part of Thailand. This means beautiful shots of the area and images that will take your breath away. Both the bloody bits and the beautiful parts are big pluses for Inhuman Kiss. However, it is insanely slow at times.” Heaven of Horror

“There are still some bits of trite or unsmooth storytelling, but after a certain point where all the three leads are fully drawn in, the intensity keeps ramping up, all the way through a simultaneously stirring and heartrending climax.” Peng

Krasue: Inhuman Kiss is overly dramatic and cheesy as a drama romance. It gets tiring to watch it sometimes as it is too long and gets draggy. I don’t buy it as a horror, but it has some nice and fun moments.” Charles Kurniawan

“Sitisiri has clearly been influenced by western horror films as much as those at home, with such diverse works as The Exorcist, The Thing, and recent Swedish vampire hit Let the Right One In […] Inevitably, in its efforts to be so many things at once, Krasue: Inhuman Kiss falls a little short, but the filmmakers’ ambition cannot be denied.” South China Morning Post

“A supernaturally tinged coming of age tale in which a teenage love triangle neatly overlaps with an ancient curse, Krasue: Inhuman Kiss is a surprisingly rich and delicate experience which imbues its essential horror with genuine warmth and deeply felt compassion” Hayley Scanlon, Windows on Worlds
