Plot:
Hao Ren failed to start a business and his mother passed away. The successive pressures and blows wiped away the last glimmer of hope in his heart, so he took a plane to go abroad. Unexpectedly, the plane encountered a large thunderstorm on the way, and the thunderstorm hit the plane’s engine. At the time of crisis, Hao Ren thought of all his frustrations and deliberately did not wear an oxygen mask, hoping to obtain insurance compensation and leave living expenses for his brother.
The mysterious sea, the nameless desert island, the broken plane wreckage and the mourning of the victims broke the original silence here. Hao Ren woke up from a coma and found himself in a dense primitive jungle. He got up and found other surviving passengers. They were all covered with scars and were in shock.
The survivors gradually recover from the plane crash and decide to go to the other side of the desert island to find the cockpit of the aircraft, hoping to contact the rescue team using the radio transmitter. Unfortunately, giant monsters soon attack them…
Reviews [click the link to read the full review]:
“It’s not just the quality of the CGI, although that is inevitably a significant element. The way the scene is shot and edited also plays into how believable the end product becomes […] Otherwise, though, there is not quite enough innovation to feel like a development from the third part. It remains slick and well-produced, setting the standard to which the knock-offs, and knock-offs of knock-offs, seek to reach. And generally, do not.” B- Film Blitz
“It’s obvious from the start that more effort, and money, went into Snake 4: The Lost World than most of these films. The effects in particular look a lot better than what we’ve come to expect from these films. It still has occasional weak moments, but even in complicated scenes like a passage through a canyon full of giant chameleons, the creatures look solid and move realistically.” 3.5 stars out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
