AN EVIL TALE (2018) Reviews and overview

‘This family is cursed’

An Evil Tale is a 2018 American supernatural horror feature film that pits an unsuspecting family against an ancient curse in their home.

Written and directed by Sam Siragusa (315 Wicked Way), the Flying Monkey Media production stars Kelly Riese, Kurt Mullins (Dawn and the Dead TV series), Dina Najjar (A Brilliant Monster; Icons of Horror 2), Duncan Jay and Karen Scheafer.

A family discovers they are the victim of a centuries-old curse when a rare relic is discovered near their home and so they must join forces with a paranormal investigator to battle this evil force that has possessed everything around them…

“A generally awful and somewhat incompetent film in most regardless that has enough of a watchable air to it that manages to keep the film on without turning it off, there’s not much to really enjoy about this one. Really only look for this one if you’re a fan of these low-budget indie efforts…” Don’s World of Horror and Exploitation

“The script is a mess, full of clunky, on the nose dialogue, unrealistic actions and characters. Mac’s “Scottish” dialogue is as fake as her accent. And nobody acts like a normal person would during any of this. Even the non-horror, soap opera situations […] Sadly, even the final showdown is ruined by an attempt at a twist that’s more laughable than funny.” Voices from the Balcony
