Reviews:

“While it’s certainly not of the caliber of a David Lynch movie, Brand New Cherry Flavor operates with a similar sensibility of intentional distancing […] there are some genuinely unsettling sequences—occasionally gory, sometimes strikingly unnerving—that keep the show firmly in horror-noir territory, even as it can also be deadpan funny. But for those who don’t mind the loopy, meandering not-quite-real-ness of it all, Cherry Flavor makes for an engagingly offbeat affair.” AV Club

“Just when it feels like the series verges on predictability it takes a wicked turn and at only eight episodes it doesn’t suffer any problems with pacing. Brand New Cherry Flavor tells an important, timely story that often feels like a new season of Channel Zero, but with an even bigger scope and mission to provoke. Brand New Cherry Flavor provides the perfect taste for horror fans, and audiences won’t ever want to cleanse their palates.” Bloody Disgusting

“The longer the story goes, the more the pretense of a conventional drama falls away. In the process, few series this year prove as adept at translating stress into visual form. Whether by shades of degrees or through a kilowatt jolt of nervous energy, Brand New Cherry Flavor feasts on the insecurities of both character and viewer…” IndieWire

Brand New Cherry Flavor is quite possibly the gnarliest, craziest, most disturbing show you’ll ever see […] so much gross and nasty imagery on this show.” Rama’s Screen

” …even the style-over-substance horror crowd seems bound to be disappointed by Cherry Flavor. Yet another miniseries that should’ve been a 90-minute film, it wrings way too much content out of too little material. The monsters—writhing spectral figures, literally faceless women—are nothing we haven’t seen before.” Time
