Reviews:
“Outside of minor pacing issues and a twist that takes one too many turns, the film is packed with thrilling espionage action, charismatic characters, and a cast that fires on all cylinders. Yaksha: Ruthless Operations doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it does embrace the spy subgenre with open arms, allowing the tropes to do the work without getting bogged down by them, and always keeping its characters primary to the story.” 6.5/10 But Why Tho?

“Visually, the movie works within the confines of digital cinematography, a format that has better use for a TV show than a proper cinematic experience […] Yaksha: Ruthless Operations works well as a piece of vacuous entertainment, but it doesn’t really manage to reach the high standards the South Korean film industry is capable of delivering.” 5/10 Fiction Horizon

Yaksha Ruthless Operations is interesting and high-octane although its 2-hour runtime can create somewhat of a problem. It’s a bit sluggish during the last leg and devoid of the action we desperately crave, kind of making watching this a mixed bag.” 3.5/5 Leisure Byte

“It’s interesting to watch and satisfying as an action thriller movie set in the spy world (not the kind of spy with lots of gadgets but the good old spy who are not worried with dirty ground work). Personally to me though, it did not seem to have that extra spark which would make this absolutely great and amazing.” 3.5/5 Mike’s Movie Moments

“Though the action scenes maintain the adrenaline rush to keep you enjoying and the actors do their best to convey the emotions, the overall film is undoubtedly half-cooked. The chemistry between Yaksha Sol Kyung-gu and Prosecutor Ji-hoon Park Hae-soo is one of the highlights of the film. Their partnership is the strongest aspect of the entire film.” 2.5/5 Ready Steady Cut
