Ballerina is a forthcoming American action thriller, a spin-off from the John Wick franchise, about a young female assassin.

Collider has reported that Keanu Reeves has been shooting scenes in Prague. Ian McShane has also returned to the franchise as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel.

The plot focuses on a young female assassin, played by Ana de Armas (No Time to Die; Knives Out; Blade Runner 2049), who seeks revenge against the people who killed her family. The new character has been developed from the ballet school run by Angelica Huston’s character The Director who trains the young women to be assassins and makes them endure massive amounts of pain in their training, as seen in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman (Total Recall 2012; Live Free or Die Hard; Underworld: Evolution; Underworld) from a screenplay written by Shay Hatten (Day Shift; Army of Thieves; Army of the Dead).

Release:
Ballerina will be released theatrically in most world territories on June 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, John Wick: Chapter 4 was released on March 24, 2023. Here’s the trailer:
