Plot:
Trapped inside a snowbound house, surrounded by murderous creatures, a small group of survivors must learn to navigate this grave new world, all while trying to catch the killer among them…

Reviews:
” …within its limitations, this works nicely. It’s helped by a good ensemble cast, led by Wurtz as Winter, one of the new arrivals, who has figured out how to move among the infected. It is a little strange how quickly he goes from an outsider pointing at gun at people, to leading the murder investigation […] The ending is a little abrupt, the end-credits playing out over a conclusion that’s not exactly definitive.” Rating: B Film Blitz

“Shifted attempts to merge two different stories, an unravelling serial murder and encroaching monsters, and it’s unfortunately too much for one film. That shifting focus between the two means that neither one can fully take the limelight and push the film where it needs to go. It has a solid cast and direction but without bringing the other elements together cohesively, it’s missing out the tension and suspense.” 2.5 out of 5, Film Carnage

“This is not an action movie, but a story that is building suspension and dread to get to the climatic finish. There are subtle hints to unravel the foreboding with enough subterfuge to allow for the red herrings. By the time we reached the end of the movie it wasn’t the pop surprise, but the inevitable wrenching of the gut.” Guild Master Gaming

Shifted isn’t a bad movie, but it falls far short of its potential by creating more of a standard, slow-moving social study than a zombie bloodfest. While this was certainly the intention of the filmmakers, it makes the movie perhaps a little less watchable than it would otherwise be. If you’re a zombie movie fan, though, it’s well worth a watch…” The Horror Revolution

Shifted has a very “warts and all” DIY feel to it, which can almost be excused if it wasn’t for the film’s stupid, tension-killing narrative decisions, such as revealing the serial killer’s identity in the very first scene […] the creatures are kind of cool looking. However, they take a backseat to Shifted‘s true narrative about the growing distrust between the survivors, leading to an incredibly groan-worthy ending.” 2 out of 5, Sean Kelly on Movies
