Reviews:
“It’s a pressure cooker scenario, and Reijn makes creative uses of the jump scare but prefers to delve deep into her profoundly broken characters to raise the stakes. In the most twisted and sordid way, it’s deeply funny, with cutting observations on modern reactive tendencies over really listening. The cultural critiques resonate, though the characters themselves may polarize.” Bloody Disgusting

“With a stellar twist ending, a strongly connected cast, and a lot of humor (even if it doesn’t all land) Bodies Bodies Bodies is a fun time. It’s a film that launches itself head-on into the chaos of entitled rich kids on drugs who are all just pretending to like everything about each other and it’s better for it.” 8/10 But Why Tho?

” …an inventive riff on Millennial and Generation Z foundational tropes. Gender identity, sexuality, addiction, and class struggles are the often hilarious topical fodder for the inherent mistrust that leads to much of the calamity within Bodies […] Halina Reijn has delivered a tense and audaciously hilarious horror flick that slaps…” 8/10 The Hollywood Outsider

“Reijn indulges in several longer takes that give the performers an opportunity to drill into the nuances of their characters and add a bit of edge to the horror scenes. That, coupled with the jittery iPhone lighting (the power goes out immediately), makes parts of Bodies Bodies Bodies believably frightening. These details also bolster the film when its screenplay proves a bit shaky.” The Hollywood Reporter

“Reijn’s direction is assured throughout, building suspense in a way that disguises key plot points. It would be unfair to say any more about the story, but suffice it to say, the ending is chef’s kiss perfect […] Bodies Bodies Bodies is a thoroughly entertaining, deliciously twisted horror farce that demands to be seen with as big an audience as possible.” 4/5 Nerdly

“It’s a hilarious, bloody, and delightfully entertaining whodunnit that balances its thrills and laughs out of a claustrophobic single-set location. Bolstered by a stellar cast of performers who all ate their roles, with some showcasing a new brush of range, Bodies Bodies Bodies is the deadliest yet most fun falling-out between a group of friends ever.” 4/5 Rendy Reviews

“The lightning-fast dialogue of Bodies Bodies Bodies scathingly satirizes its Gossip Girl wannabe friend group while also making them a lot of fun to be around. Sennott steals the show, building on her breakout turn in Shiva Baby […] Reijn makes the most out of the movie’s single setting with a swerving camera and emotional closeup shots.” RogerEbert.com

Bodies Bodies Bodies is a fun movie and worth a watch but I didn’t really connect with this film […] The biggest issue was that I had absolutely no empathy or connection with any of the characters so there were no stakes in their survival. However, many of the performances were really great…” The Scariest Things

“Fun, funny, surprising, and occasionally even scary, Bodies Bodies Bodies will definitely scratch the itch for genre film fans looking for something to keep them guessing. Not quite horror and not quite comedy, but somewhere in between, this bloody mystery is just the ticket for people whose love language is watching rich, drugged-out brats turn on each other at the drop of a hat.” Screen Anarchy

“There’s a message buried somewhere in all this — about how today’s twentysomethings are too obsessed with creating demons, often out of thin air, and knocking them down. Yet it’s not as if the movie doesn’t revel in that. In a way, it takes mean-girl culture to its logical conclusion…” Variety
