Reviews:
“A clunky narrative that honestly doesn’t mean much thanks to the ending, Old People still offers a violent mess from the people you least expect. That gimmick paired with an hour and 40-minute runtime makes this a great horror watch for the spooky season.” 7/10, But Why Tho?

“Look, if you’re in the mood for a new horror movie, then you can absolutely give this one a shot. It has a few good moments but just had the potential for so much more. Personally, I would start by watching the new Mike Flanagan series The Midnight Club which is released on the same day.” 2/5, Heaven of Horror

“This slasher film portrays the elderly in their monstrous versions, who go batshit at night and then on a murderous rampage. It is a bizarre and unsettling film about the collective fear of aging and a cautionary tale about the importance of elderly care and compassion in alienated modern societies.” High on Films

Old People is a silly (or even stupid) horror flick that wouldn’t even be a one-time watch for many. Regardless, it’s sometimes thrilling and mostly ok, just really cringy most of the time!” 2/5, Leisure Byte

“This is like many fighting against the undead stories that we have seen, despite it not being against the undead. It uses that creation to show the relentless pace as the night unfolds, giving us an enjoyable edge-of-the-seat thriller. The film is brave enough to not let us guess who could make it out alive either.” 3/5, Movie Reviews 101

“Even though the gore is made of the cheapest digital effects I’ve seen in a while, it’s still pretty gruesome. There’s also a scene of brief nudity and a few profanities littered about the place, but those are the least of your worries. The biggest problem is that the film is completely unwatchable as anything approaching entertainment.” Parent Previews

“The movie presents all these murderous pensioners still perfectly capable of thinking and reasoning, so their actions make little sense. It tries to give a narrative about zombie old people some deeper meaning. And it fails miserably. Instead, it comes across as preachy and succeeds at offending the older population.” 2/5, Ready Steady Cut

“Bloody, creepy, and so entertaining! Don’t expect any thorough explanations, but the meat of this film is definitely worth a watch and then some!” TV Fanatic Girl
