Blurb:
“What’s your greatest fear? That’s the question posed to ambitious young illustrator Natalie, who is forced to create four of the most terrifying stories imaginable for the new comic book “Hi-Fear”.

In “Losing it at the Devil’s Whorehouse”, some unlucky lads out for a night of fun run afoul of a den of sin that just might cost them their lives.

A cop and a televangelist commit the perfect murder in “When Shadows Come Alive” only to find themselves stranded in the woods with a family of cannibals.”

“The Streets are Watching” follows a homeless youth through an all-night urban odyssey as she tries to escape from a demon-possessed madman.

Finally, “Day out of Days” concerns three isolated film crew members who find themselves at the centre of an apocalyptic invasion. With each tale more twisted than the last, Hi-Fear is a frightening finale to the Hi-8 trilogy.”

Reviews:
“A perceivable improvement over Hi-Death, it still suffers from a decreased story count set by the original’s octet. Ironically, as the Dogme 95-style shot-on-video rules established for Hi-8 have loosened considerably with each franchise installment, overall levels of quality and fun have decreased.” Flick Attack

“The previous Hi movies packed more segments into shorter running times. By contrast, the Hi-Fear stories tend to drag on, testing the patience of all but […] horror buffs, who don’t mind thin plots and amateurish acting […] a place to linger for a while if you have fond memories of watching DIY gore-fests shot on consumer-grade videotape.” Los Angeles Times

“It has a mix of quality and length, which ends up being a weakness for them. Some of the stories do feel too long but then not long enough. While some work better in shorter forms because certain stories feel dragged along. However, it will offer something for every horror fan out there.” 3 out of 5, Movie Reviews 101

“With three solid segments out of four and a good wraparound, I thought Hi-Fear was a great little anthology. I also know however that the films it harkens back to are an acquired taste, especially for those who don’t remember the originals. But for those of us who remember them fondly, this is a great way to spend a couple of hours.” 4 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony

“I found the movie very fun and entertaining. It’s right up there with Creepshow, Tales From The Crypt and The Macabre. As in the same tone with these anthology tales, Hi Fear is a fun ride from start to finish. I loved the set up and would most definitely watch and looking for a sequel.” 4 out of 5, Without Your Head
