‘Meet the first AI-created femme fatale in film history’
AIMEE: The Visitor is a 2023 American sci-fi horror film about a hacker who downloads a seductive yet deadly AI-created computer program.
Produced and directed by Charles Band (director of Evil Bong franchise; Ooga Booga; The Gingerdead Man; Ghoulies; Parasite; Crash! and over 80 other movies). Cinematography by Thomas L. Callaway. Edited by Alex Nicolaou.
The Full Moon Empire production stars Dallas Schaefer (Shark Side of the Moon), Felix Merback, Faith West (Maid Droid), Tom Dacey Carr and Joe Kurak.
Plot:
As a result of some computer code-breaking by his partners Hunter and Gazelle, hacker Scott Keyes is finally able to unlock AIMEE, an incredibly advanced AI (artificial intelligence) program that appears in the form of a beautiful and seductive woman. Indeed, AIMEE stands for ‘Advanced Intimate Model of Euphoric Entertainment’.
However, what a smitten Keyes doesn’t realise, and what Gazelle soon discovers, is that AIMEE is an advanced infiltration program and has been designed to learn from whoever downloads her, become whatever he most desires, and in the process, to take over, control, dominate, replicate, spread – and ultimately destroy anyone who opposes her…

Reviews:
“The small cast and single location help give a sense of claustrophobia and tension as Aimee spies on our heroes. There’s also a decent use of light and shadow to make the film look more dynamic and suspenseful. While there is some questionable CGI here and there, it’s not distracting enough to take you out of the action. Without giving any spoilers, I will say that the ending genuinely surprised me with how depressing it was. Rating: 50%” Film Nerd
“At 68 minutes, the film is very short. It’s dirty, vulgar at times, and very light on horror […] But the acting is competent. The concept is intriguing and could be explored more with a larger budget…” 4.5 out of 10, The Horror Syndicate
“With the introduction of Gazelle as a human love interest, I became less interested in what was happening on screen as the film moved forward. The character arcs are shallow and serve to only push the agenda of the film, which is less of an advanced infiltration program and more towards a love triangle that is barely established. But any excuse to have cast without their gear on is a win for some, I guess.” ★½ Mother of Movies
“From the instant AImee pops up on Scott’s screen, viewers are whisked into a cyclone of intrigue and challenges; we, as the audience, know more than the cast, and although generally predictable, I had fun from start to finish. While it might not be a flawless creation, AIMEE: The Visitor highlights the struggles between humanity and our burgeoning tech realities.” ★★★ Overly Honest Movie Reviews
“There’s enough bare skin and killer Roombas to keep most viewers amused until the somewhat surprising finish. While it’s hardly a technological breakthrough or a profound statement about the danger of AI, AIMEE: The Visitor is one of the company’s better recent films. It’s also a diverting bit of low-budget nonsense that should keep viewers entertained.” ★★★ Voices from the Balcony
Release date:
Full Moon will release AIMEE: The Visitor on Digital platforms on September 29, 2023.
