“This spectacularly brutal story is actually inspired by real events,” said co-writer and director Andy Armstrong. “Therefore all darkness and violence in the movie is firmly grounded in reality yet leans heavily into each character’s personal eccentricities.”

Walk Like A Duck Entertainment’s Jason Armstrong and Rob Goodrich added: “When we were presented Squealer, we immediately knew we had a unique opportunity to develop and produce a film that takes itself out of the nuts-and-bolts horror film and incorporate Andy and Danielle’s decades of experience in the upper ranks of Hollywood’s stunt world and pair it with an exciting ensemble cast. Andy’s ability to bring this real story to a big screen is frightening and exciting as hell!”

Reviews:
“Ultimately, Squealer is a terrifying idea that goes nowhere. It is never as chilling as this type of story should be and much of the time is spent spinning its wheels. A plot like this demands constant suspense and moments that should have audiences squirming in their seats. Instead, it ends up being a below-average slasher.” AIPT

“If it sounds like Squealer gets squeezed out of Squealer, that’s because he does — a victim of his own supposed story. Part procedural, part slasher, part domestic drama and part social justice advocate, the unfocused film doesn’t amount to much, outside a few amusing turns.” Flick Attack

“While there is clearly a good story there, the dialogue often falls a bit flat and the pacing is very slow. Scenes that should take a few minutes are dragged out far beyond what’s necessary. Or good […] Overall, this is 100 minutes of a whole lot of strange moments. All meant to tell an intriguing story but getting lost along the way. A shame really, because it could’ve been so much better.” 1 out of 5, Heaven of Horror

“One department that works adeptly is that of the makeup and effects team. This is, if nothing else, a grisly film that doesn’t shy away from the depraved […] Most parts of Squealer don’t add up to a sum of anything. There are a few decent scenes and good turns from Blevins and Moennig, but everything else is just fat without any taste.” 20 out of 100, Man vs Movies

Squealer looks cheap, but let’s not hold that too much against it. The movie’s cheapness goes much, much deeper than appearances, and so, too, do its incompetence and ugliness.” 0 out of 4, Mark Reviews Movies

” …serves as a harrowing reminder of the horrors that can lurk beneath the surface of everyday life. Despite its occasional missteps, it’s a film that doesn’t shy away from staring into the abyss of the human condition. While it may not hit every mark, it leaves an indelible impression, echoing long after the screen fades to black—a stark testament to the chilling potential within the human soul.” 3 out of 5, Overly Honest Movie Reviews

“With a tighter script, the last twenty or so minutes could have been fairly intense as the various characters head towards a bloody final showdown. Instead, it becomes an unintentional comedy of errors […] If you don’t care about anything beyond blood and boobs Squealer will probably drive you hog wild. Everyone else will find it a boar.” ★½ Voices from the Balcony
