Budget and box office:
The film reportedly cost $45 million yet took only $21,694,915 worldwide possibly due to the lack of ‘Dracula’ or ‘vampire’ in the title plus the overlong running time for its late summer release when many potential moviegoers would rather be in the sun? Universal will presumably be hoping to at least regain some losses via home viewing sales.
