‘Skin will crawl’
Crawlers is a 2026 American survival horror film about a deadly infestation of venomous spiders in an apartment complex.
Directed by Spanish filmmaker Ángel Gómez Hernández (Voces; The Boogeyman/El hombre del saco) from a screenplay by Jayson Rothwell (Silent Night; Malice in Wonderland).
The co-production stars Matilda Lutz, Gregg Sulkin, Melina Matthews, Chris Rogers, William Miller and Gary Anthony Stennette.
Plot:
Serena (Matilda Lutz) is the overworked manager of the Paradiso Palms apartment complex. Her already difficult job takes a horrifying turn when a mysterious death occurs in the building.
Initially, the residents suspect that they are dealing with some sort of viral outbreak. It soon becomes apparent, however, that the real problem is considerably more terrifying: a new breed of venomous spiders has infested the building and is reproducing at an alarming rate.
The building is placed under quarantine, trapping the residents inside with the rapidly multiplying spiders. With no way out and the infestation spreading from apartment to apartment, the inhabitants have to improvise weapons and fight for survival.
Serena’s intimate knowledge of the building makes her particularly valuable. She knows its corridors, rooms and infrastructure better than anyone, and may be the residents’ best chance of escaping alive. But she also has to confront a deep personal fear while attempting to keep everyone together…
