Plot:
Meldie (Ayanna Misola) works in a small laundry store where she takes certain outfits home – such as schoolgirl uniforms and doctors’ scrubs – and dresses up and attempts to have sex with a man she keeps captive. She also moonlights as a vigilant, killing men who have wronged women.
One day she meets a handsome police officer and decides she wants him. She stalks his girlfriend and uncovers a few secrets about her that she uses to her advantage. But Meldie doesn’t do things by halves. When she sets her mind to something, so goes all the way…

Our review [contains spoilers]:
Let me tell you a story about a young lady named Meldie. She’s a bit of an obsessive and she’s also extremely aroused by stealing her clients’ clothes and wearing them while having sex with a man she keeps captive. That got your interest, didn’t it?
All the way from the Philippines, courtesy of VivaMax studio, is Bula, an entertaining and sensual horror thriller. Now when it comes to erotic horror movies, the Philippines would not be at the top of the list, but lately, that’s been changing. With this and Livestream, production company VivaMax is building up a bit of a reputation that may overtake Japan in the Asian horror erotica stakes.
On the surface, this seems like just a typical sexy horror thriller. Yet, if you can look past the unbelievable scenario, there is an enjoyable movie here.

Ayanna Misola, the actress who plays Meldie, is stunning and in turn, she pulls off an awesome performance that borderlines between psychotic, innocent and supremely sexy.
What I enjoyed the most about the film were all the WTF moments. For example when she is trying to get that invalid man whom she has captured to have sex with her, but he just refuses, or when she breaks into an apartment and starts playing with herself under the bed while the couple make love above her. This is a truly messed up fun film.
While I appreciated that the film tied up all the loose ends, because I admit it was driving me mad not to know who this guy she had captive was, I also was frustrated over the fact the movie does play out in its isolated little world. When Meldie frames her boss’s son for murder, the incompetent police don’t even bother to properly investigate if he is the killer. They just accept the evidence they stumble over as fact.

Also, the scene where she kills the backyard abortionist is questionable. How the heck did she manage not to spray acid on herself? But the most brutal scene, which had me in both awe and stitches, was when she killed the model and her agent. That scene is one part twisted, one part brilliant. This is so much fun to watch and you get the bonus of some creative kills and constant female nudity throughout.
