Return to the Theatre of Terror is a 2023 American horror anthology film about a mysterious projectionist in an abandoned movie house plays host to a young intruder and offers him the chance to watch four spine-tingling tales of terror on the big screen. The movie is a sequel to Theatre of Terror (2019).

Directed and edited by Tom Ryan from a screenplay co-written with Todd Staruch – the film consists of four shorts – Haunted, Robot, Soothsayer and Splinter – plus a wraparound.

Reviews:
“Shot with a tiny budget but plenty of admirable creativity, Return to the Theatre of Terror blends horror and dark humor about as nicely as a project of this caliber could. Had it emerged during the 1960s, it quite easily could have been promoted to the same audiences that paid to see The Witches. The cast of young actors is very good.” Blu-ray.com

“Ryan’s cinema wraparound gives the audience another dose of nostalgia for old-school movie theatres. Ryan may direct but he also takes the time to portray Colin, the creepy projectionist who ties all the segments together. This is a great anthology with plenty of interesting characters and effects that stay within the creator’s limits, leading to a higher-quality film.” Horror Screams Video Vault

Return to the Theatre of Terror may not be perfect horror but it’s perfectly a blast from beginning to end with four fantastic short films and wrapping scenes that could easily stand alone or be fleshed out to make yet another short.” The Independent Critic
