Plot:
Loving wife Val (Isabel Cueva) and her husband Justin (Dan Thiel) move to the tranquillity of a remote cabin to try and cope with the devastating loss of their stillborn twins and to get a fresh start. However, Val soon senses an evil presence.
After her best friend – and doctor – Chloe (Whitney Anderson) visits to check on her mental health, dark secrets begin to unravel. Meanwhile, Val meets a mysterious neighbour, Frank (Chris Browning), searching for the truth, and with the help of Maggie (Rebecca De Mornay), the owner of the local bar, she gains the strength she needs to make her final decision…
Reviews:
“Angel Baby is a film that, though delivering plenty of jump scares and terrifying musical cues, balances cinema horror with the deeper themes of grief and ultimately, acceptance.” Latin Heat
“Given the film’s glossy look and sanitized treatment of its subject matter, it actually feels like a slightly bigger budgeted Lifetime movie […] if you’re watching Angel Baby expecting a horror movie or an effective thriller, you’re going to be very disappointed. The ghostly activity is minor and never really amounts to much until the end, maybe. The thriller elements aren’t any better, being fairly predictable most of the way through…” ★ Voices from the Balcony
