Director’s Cut is a 2016 comedy horror film about a madman who aspires to replace the real director of a movie and make it his own by capturing the lead actress and inflicting much horror upon her in his version.
Directed by Adam Rifkin (The Invisible Maniac; Psycho Cop Returns; Chillerama: segment “Wadzilla”) from a screenplay by Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller fame) who also stars.
The movie also stars Missi Pyle, Harry Hamlin, Hayes McArthur, Lin Shaye (The Conjuring and sequels), and Gilbert Gottfried.

Director’s Cut premiered on January 22, 2016, at the Slamdance Film Festival and was shown in London in August 2016 at the Horror Channel FrightFest.
In 2018, the movie was picked up for theatrical distribution in North America by Dread Central Presents
